Meet
the Friends With You Band
|
|
The core of the band consists of four
musicians: Chris Collins, Mark Cormican, Kevin Delmolino, and
Paul Swanton. In addition to performing with the Band, they are each
solo acoustic folk music performers and singer/songwriters. Below
are their brief bios, along with links to their individual web sites.
These four musicians met in Aspen, Colorado in
October 2004, during the annual week devoted to paying tribute to John
Denver. They jammed informally and realized they had something
special. They now perform around the
country before growing and devoted groups of Friends. Despite living
in different regions of the US, when they come together, the music is
magical.
They are frequently joined by other dedicated
and talented musicians.
Please meet the "Friends
of the Friends With You Band."

The Friends:

|
 |
Chris Collins
(Vocals, Guitar, Banjo,
Mandolin)
A Wisconsin native that currently resides in
Houston, Texas, Chris is a singer/songwriter, recording engineer, and all
around great performer. He has twice been selected as a top ten regional
finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival. With two CD's to his credit, he
has a special way of making each person feel like the song he is singing
is just for them. |
|
Mark Cormican
(Vocals, Guitar, Percussion)
Mark was born and raised in Northern Kentucky
and tours regularly in support of his fifth CD, "Live At The Music Cafe".
His "One Fine Autumn Day", written for John Denver following his death,
became part of a tribute album and concert in Colorado. His simple, folksy
style recalls the music of John Prine, James Taylor, and of course, John
Denver. |
 |
|
 |
Kevin Delmolino
(Bass, Guitar, Vocals)
Originally from Massachusetts and now living in
Central Maryland, Kevin has spent the better part of 30 years as a singer
and musician. Equally comfortable on bass and guitar, when he's not
playing with the FWY band, he can be heard moonlighting as half of the
"Kevin and Dale Experience".
|
|
Paul Swanton
(Guitar, Vocals)
Paul, a Massachusetts boy, is well known for his hot guitar picking and
quiet personality. Not only has he spent the last 30 years perfecting most
of the guitar licks in the John Denver canon, as well as many others, but
he has recently completed a John Denver song book for acoustic guitarists. |
